The Design Process

one Initial visit – Free of charge

I will visit you to discuss your initial ideas and needs. I’ll look at the space in question and get to know a little about your lifestyle and what you want from your garden. You will get to know something about me and how I work. You can look at my design portfolio to get an idea of the depth of my knowledge and experience.

two Site analysis and design concept

The next stage is for to undertake measure up the site, take inventory, and produce a detailed survey drawing and a sketch of possible design solutions

three Presentation drawings and mood boards

After the draft design concept is approved, the next stage is to draw presentation drawings. These can be coloured and also can be done using computer software. This is the client’s choice. Three dimensional drawings can also be done so that the clients can get a more realistic impression of what the design will ultimately look like.

four Full specification and tender plans

The design for your new garden is now yours. You may wish to build it yourself, you may have preferred contractors you would like to appoint, in which case you may wish to use my service to advise on the specification documents for the contractors.
